Welcome to Guitar Basics

This section is for those who have an interest in beginning guitar lessons or who are in the early stages of learning to play the guitar. First I will cover basic guitar anatomy and identify the different parts of the guitar. Next we will look at the current methods of learning music through guitar tablature. Tablature is designed to help those who have little or no music reading skills. The 6 strings of the guitar are translated into a unique music staff that can be easily translated back to the guitar, giving nearly anyone the ability to play written music . More on that later.
